STEM Education Assistant

GOSTEM is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a STEM

Education Instructional Assistant. As a key member of our small nonprofit focused on

STEM education, you will play a crucial role in supporting instructors and contributing to

the growth and development of our organization. This part-time position offers a unique

opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' learning experiences and actively

contribute to the success of our educational initiatives.

Responsibilities:

● Collaborate with instructors to deliver engaging STEM lessons and activities to

students.

● Provide one-on-one support to students, ensuring comprehension and fostering a

positive learning environment.

● Assist in the development and enhancement of STEM program materials,

resources, and activities.

● Contribute to the setup and breakdown of learning spaces, maintaining an

organized and safe environment.

● Support administrative tasks related to program logistics, attendance records,

and communication with stakeholders.

● Actively participate in team meetings, providing input and ideas to enhance

program effectiveness.

Qualifications:

● High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in STEM or

education is a plus.

● Passion for STEM education and a strong desire to contribute to the growth and

development of GoSTEM

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate

effectively in a team setting.

Preferred Skills:

● Previous experience working with children or in educational settings.

● Familiarity with STEM concepts and enthusiasm for hands-on, experiential

learning.

● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
