Physical Therapist- Outpatient Clinic & Inpatient Unit
FTE: 1.0 FTE (Full-time, 40 hours per week)
Shifts: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, weekend and holiday rotations in Acute Care
$10,000 Sign-on Bonus
$5,000 Relocation Bonus
Physical Therapists treat patients from newborn to geriatric and work under the referral of a physician. They are responsible to evaluate, establish appropriate plan of care and provide needed treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function and independence and prevent disability.
- Evaluates and treats physical therapy patients under physician orders in the outpatient and acute settings
- Develops treatment plans for all patients assigned to case load
- Maintains appropriate documentation in the patient’s medical record
- Ongoing commitment to reducing costs and improving productivity in the physical therapy department
- Maintains positive relationships with the health care team, patient and family
- Communicates effectively in writing and verbally with all appropriate members of the patient’s healthcare team
Education:
- Bachelor degree in Physical Therapy
Licensure:
- Physical therapy licensure in Iowa or eligible for licensure in Iowa.
- Valid Drivers License
Experience:
- Entry level/new graduate acceptable
Skills/Abilities:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of computer concepts
- Ability to meet time frames for work completion
- Effective skills for teamwork/team facilitation
- Ability to evaluate critically and think creatively
- Able to read and understand a variety of patient related documentation
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to evaluate and treat rehabilitative needs of patients relative to development and age
