Director of Worship & the Arts

We are a church plant of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Smyrna, GA that has been worshiping together since August 2024. Our vision is to be a Community for all Smyrna to Belong & Become in Jesus, & we're trusting God to help us accomplish this through making, maturing, & multiplying disciple-makers. We value living, working, playing, & worshiping in proximity to one another, maintaining a pace with margin & a posture of embrace, centering our lives around Jesus & being led by the Spirit. We are actively looking for a part-time worship director to start as soon as possible.

We believe the arts are transcendent & one of the primary ways people share their stories & connect with something beyond themselves. Given Smyrna's burgeoning arts scene we see this as an integral role that furthers our mission of evangelism & discipleship.

As we move toward launching public worship in 2025 we are praying for the right woman or man to lead our congregation into glorifying Jesus through worship & the arts.

In a new church there is an opportunity to wear multiple hats & try new things, & as long as the following responsibilities are taken care of we are happy to work with you to test gifts & grow in other areas as well. And of course additional responsibilities will include additional hours &, thus, additional pay. Responsibilities include:

-Craft a weekly liturgy in tandem with the senior pastor.
-Coordinate & equip worship volunteers. (Familiarity with Planning Center is helpful.)
-Lead worship on Sundays.
-Engage as an active member in the life of Water Stone Church.
