About PSRS/PEERS

PSRS/PEERS is the largest defined benefit pension plan in Missouri with more than 315,000 members. We work in partnership with Missouri public school districts to provide retirement security for Missouri’s public school teachers and education employees.

Most of our 173 employees work out of our main office located at 3210 West Truman Boulevard in Jefferson City. Our office is open Monday through Friday, and many positions have scheduling flexibility between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. with the opportunity to telecommute part of the week. About the Job

As a Data Analyst I, you will perform routine business analysis using various techniques, such as data mining, data aggregation and statistical analysis. You will help us provide both paginated and dashboard reporting that meets our customer’s needs. This position reports to our Database Manager.

Our Data Analyst I should act as a proponent of positive change in the organization to increase business functionality and efficiency. In this role you will maintain communication about data integrity and reporting with all PSRS/PEERS staff. Your day-to-day work will involve extracting information from databases using query statements and database tools, researching best practices and supporting the development of solutions and recommendations for the current business operations.

In addition, you will work with users and both our Development and Systems Support teams to identify analytical requirements and provide business data interpretation to PSRS/PEERS staff using reports, queries and charts. 

You will work with users to create and modify ad hoc data and reports, assist with data cleansing efforts by performing research, offering recommendations and writing useful, succinct documentation, as well as maintain a data dictionary by revising and entering definitions.

 

Job Requirements

Our ideal candidate holds a degree in computer science, business administration, or a related field. Alternatively, two years of relevant work experience may substitute for a degree. Wile a bachelor’s degree is preferred, it is not required.
