Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer
Fairway Staffing is currently recruiting for an Entry entry-level mechanical Engineer to support the design, prototyping, and documentation efforts of new and existing products of a commercial cooking equipment manufacturer.
The focus of the position during the first three months is to get familiar with updating existing 3D models, drawings, Bill of materials, and ECOs. As your time here progresses, you will gain exposure to our different products and engineering areas, such as Manufacturing, Engineering, Design, RND, and Testing.
To be successful in this position you must be proficient in SolidWorks modeling, single parts, sub-assemblies, and top-level assemblies. AutoCAD 2D knowledge is a plus but is not required. Some understanding of manufacturing processes in Sheetmetal and Machining is a Must.

• Assist senior engineers in design, analysis, troubleshooting, and testing products.
• Perform engineering calculations and simulations under guidance. CAD Design & Drafting
• Create 3D parts and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Create DXF files using AutoCAD
• Create electrical schematics and diagrams using AutoCAD.
• Modify and update existing designs based on feedback and design changes. Testing, analysis, and documentation
• Assist in setting up and execute experiments and tests for product validation.
• Collect and analyze test data and generate test reports.
• Prepare technical documents, reports, and specifications.
• Process red line drawings and ECOs.
• Work with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are production ready.
• Provide support during fabrication and assembly of prototype or production.
• Update Bill of Materials.
• Design and model sheet metal and machining parts using SolidWorks.
• Perform additional related duties as requested or requires.
Basic Qualifications:
• Recent Graduate from a four-year University or three years or more experience as a Mechanical Designer.
• Proficient using SolidWorks both modeling parts, assemblies and drawing creation, with a minimum experience 2 years.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office: MS Word, Excel.
• Engineering and mechanical design skills.
• Understanding of manufacturing practices and process.
• Knowledge of material (Metals, plastics)
• Familiar with ASME standards (Y14.5), GD&T is a plus, but not required.
• Demonstrate ability to manage and balance multiple projects/assignments, and priorities.
• Able to spend a significant amount of time in a sitting position conducting CAD workstation operation.
• Good team player and excellent communications skills.
