Core Responsibilities
Develop 3D aerospace models, assemblies and 2D drawings using Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE software derived from point cloud datasets in order to support the design, simulation, manufacturing and testing of our customer’s products and processes.
Activities and duties
The following activities and duties are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended to be all-inclusive:
• Utilize 3EXPERIENCE Digitized Shape Preparation (DSP) to import and manipulate point cloud datasets
• Utilize 3EXPERIENCE to create 3D aerospace models, assemblies and 2D drawings according to project specific inputs and requirements.
• Interpret 2D drawings and point cloud data for migration into a 3D environment
• Mentor, train or assist students and/or NobleTek staff on customer process, procedures and best practices.
• Communicate with customers and team members regarding project scope, change requests and milestone completions
• Make decisions concerning personal time management and task prioritization to deliver quality service, on time and under budget
Required Experience
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in the field of design engineering utilizingDassault Systèmes CATIA V5 or 3DEXPERIENCE for the aerospace industry is required
• Experience with Dassault Systèmes Digitized Shape Preparation (DSP) or Digitized Shape Editor (DSE) is required
Education / Training
• Minimum of Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technologies, Computer Science or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
• U.S. Person is required (ITAR 22 CFR § 120.62)
• Knowledge of Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE is required or the ability to learn quickly
• Knowledge of Dassault Systèmes CATIA V5 is a plus
• Knowledge of 3DEXPERIENCE Digitized Shape Preparation (DSP) or knowledge of CATIA V5 Digitized Shape Editor (DSE) is required
• FEA experience is a plus
• GD&T experience is a plus
• Experience with Aerospace structures and component design is required
• Ability to check manufacturing drawings to determine proper fit and function, correctness and completeness of information
• Knowledge of general Manufacturing processes is required
• Must have strong mechanical aptitude, good reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Data Management and Configuration Management principles
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Self-starter with the ability to carry out responsibilities with minimum supervision
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
• Work is performed in a standard office environment and involves the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to communicate on telephone and handle all calls in a professional and personable manner.
• Vision must be good enough to read keyboards, computer screen, reference books, reports and other written documents
• Ability to drive own or rental vehicle
