Junior Software Tester
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Software Tester to join our QA team. You will be responsible for assisting in testing software applications to ensure they meet high standards of quality, usability, and performance. Key Responsibilities:
- Execute manual test cases based on requirements and user stories.
- Report and document bugs, issues, and improvements clearly in the bug tracking system (e.g., JIRA).
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and senior testers to understand project requirements.
- Participate in test planning, test case design, and review sessions.
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.
- Maintain and update test documentation and reports.
- Learn and adapt to new tools and technologies relevant to the QA process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or relevant certifications).
- Basic understanding of software development and testing concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team.
Preferred (Not Mandatory):
- Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JMeter).
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and databases.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
