Supervisor Trainee

Are you ready to launch your leadership career in a hands-on, high-impact environment? AGP (Ag Processing Inc) is looking for a Supervisor Trainee to join our team! This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity to develop essential supervisory skills and grow into a future leader in production and operations management.

 

As a Supervisor Trainee, you’ll work closely with plant management and production staff to learn the ins and outs of supervising our teams and optimizing facility operations. You’ll gain experience in people leadership, safety, scheduling, equipment oversight, and production logistics—key areas that will set the foundation for a long-term career at AGP.

 

Locations available (relocation stipend provided): Algona, IA • Eagle Grove, IA • Hastings, NE • Manning, IA • Mason City, IA • Sergeant Bluff, IA 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, coach, and support production employees, ensuring safe and efficient work practices
  • Organize and monitor daily work schedules to meet production deadlines
  • Conduct inspections and review logs/reports to ensure smooth equipment and facility operations
  • Assist in plant operations including loading/unloading, cleaning, and general process support
  • Coordinate production and trucking schedules based on operational needs
  • Track daily production metrics and uphold quality standards
  • Support inventory control including sampling and counting
  • Enforce company policies and procedures
  • Prepare accurate daily reports for management

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong leadership potential with excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment
  • High safety awareness and willingness to enforce safety procedures
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and hours as required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Ag Systems Technology, Ag Production, or related field preferred
  • Willingness to relocate, if necessary
