Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive med management care to patients across various age groups, including ages 18+. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating mental health disorders, while also collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care. This is a contract position and many if not all aspects can be negotiated to suite the needs of the right candidate! Duties

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide medication management for mental health conditions.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients with complex needs.
• Educate patients and families about mental health issues, treatment options, and coping strategies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems such as Advanced MD.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives to improve mental health care practices.

Skills

• Proficiency in psychiatric evaluation and treatment modalities.
• Familiarity with pediatric mental health issues is beneficial.
• Experience in clinical research methodologies is an asset.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Understanding of workers' compensation law as it relates to mental health treatment.
• LifeQuest Elko sees clients ages 8 and older for mental health care, an understanding of medication across developmental stages is important.
