We are currently looking for a non-exempt Teller Associate or Bilingual Teller Associate to join our team at 40 hours per week!  In this role, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional service experience for SELCO Community Credit Union’s members, team members, and guests.

This position will work onsite at the East Bend Branch in Bend, Oregon.  The Teller Associate and Bilingual Teller Associate are only eligible for in-office/branch work arrangements. The successful candidate will need to be available to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am and 6:30pm, and some Saturdays between the hours of 9:45am and 2:15pm. 

 

COMPENSATION

Base Salary: 

  • The full range for the Teller Associate position is $19.15 to $26.15 per hour, with new hires generally starting between $20.30 to $22.65 per hour, based on relevant knowledge, skills, education, and experience. 
  • The full range for the Bilingual Teller Associate position is $20.05 to $27.10 per hour, with new hires generally starting between $21.25 to $23.60 per hour, based on relevant knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

Incentives: This position is eligible for monthly referral incentives ranging from $5.00 to $75.00 per sold referral, depending on the product or service. 

Annual Incentive: In addition, all SELCO team members receive an annual incentive based on how well SELCO meets the prior year’s strategic business goals. This incentive is calculated using the team member’s prior year eligible earnings and ranges from 0%-12% (with the average payout over the last five years being 11.07%).

POSITION DETAILS

Essential Functions include (please see the position description for a comprehensive list):

  • Work with a high level of accuracy and efficiency while following instructions and established procedures, performing teller transactions, and handling cash (i.e., counting, documenting, etc.).
  • Demonstrate initiative to help protect the member and SELCO from losses by detecting errors and taking action to prevent fraud.
  • Assist team members and other departments, as needed.

Required Skills and Abilities include (please see the position description for a comprehensive list):

  • For the Bilingual Teller Associate, must be fluent in English and Spanish
  • Exceptional customer service skills by using the GVAL-HI approach to providing service. Greet people, Value them. Ask how you can help. Listen.  Help them. Invite them back.
  • Ability to discover member needs to effectively cross-sell SELCO’s products and services.
  • Effective communication and active listening skills through all methods of interaction (e.g. in person, via phone, and in writing).

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; and
  • Minimum six (6) months cash handling and customer service or sales experience; and
  • Must be bondable.
