Job Description

Make an Impact Where It Matters Most — Specialized Nursing Opportunity in Great Barrington, MA

Arbor Associates is seeking a compassionate and skilled LPN or RN for a 6-month contract assignment in a specialized group home setting in Great Barrington, MA. This is an opportunity to deliver high-quality, personalized care to residents with complex needs — and make a meaningful difference every single shift. This isn’t traditional nursing. It’s personal, consistent, and deeply impactful work. You’ll provide skilled care in a calm residential environment for individuals who are nonverbal and exhibit intense (but nonviolent) behaviors. We’re seeking nurses who are emotionally intelligent, patient, and motivated by purpose.

Choose from:

Afternoon Shift | 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Overnight Shift | 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

Deliver individualized nursing care and medical oversight to residents.

Monitor health conditions, administer medications, and follow care plans.

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to ensure whole-person care.

Maintain thorough documentation and communicate progress.

Create an emotionally safe, stable, and nurturing environment for residents to thrive.

Who You’ll Support:

The residents in this program are full of potential — though nonverbal, they respond to meaningful connection, consistency, and care. Many exhibit complex behavioral expressions that require calm, observant professionals who can read between the lines. Your empathy and presence will be your greatest tools.

Job Requirements

You’re a Great Fit If You:

Hold a current MA LPN or RN license

Have at least 1 year of nursing experience

Are comfortable working in residential or group home settings

Bring compassion, patience, and consistency to your care

Communicate clearly and empathetically with residents and colleagues

Have experience working with nonverbal individuals (preferred)
