Structural Engineer / Engineer in Training (EIT)

This is a full-time position in our Grand Rapids office.   The candidate must live in the greater Grand Rapids, MI area. 

Responsibilities

  • Perform design calculations, details, and specifications for buildings and other structures.
  • Perform construction-related services, including shop drawing reviews and responses to requests for information.
  • Occasional site visits. (Don’t worry.  You’ll be home for supper.)
  • Collaborate with architects and contractors on the design and construction of projects.
  • Manage projects and their budgets.

Qualifications

  • Must have passed the Fundamentals Exam (FE) or are awaiting results from a recent exam.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office software.
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Can work efficiently and accurately.
  • Possesses a positive attitude and can work well with others.
  • Be a self-motivated individual who can manage a project.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
