Math Intervention Teacher - 10k 25/26 SY Sign On Bonus Available!

Job Summary: 

The Math Intervention Teacher helps disadvantaged Title I students meet academic standards by providing targeted assistance and supplementary instruction. They are responsible for implementation of services, parent conferences, staff development, and tracking student progress in respective subject. 

 

Essential Functions (May include, but not limited to): 

1. Plan, prepare, and deliver targeted math instruction to assigned Title I students, including small groups and individual students. 

2. Adapt and differentiate instruction based on students ‘unique needs, abilities, and progress. 

3. Collaborate in the development and implementation of math curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessments for classrooms. Use data to inform instruction, continuously monitor student progress, and adjust interventions accordingly. 

4. Assess, record, and report on student progress, achievement, and behavior related to math learning. 

5. Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress with the principal, teachers, and other stakeholders. 

6. Regularly communicate with the Principal, Assistant Principal, Team Leaders, and fellow teachers regarding student progress, curriculum development, and instructional strategies. 

7. Collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching materials and support instructional needs for Title I identified students.

8. Maintain high standards of teaching practice and ensure the effective delivery of math instruction. 

9. Participate in professional development opportunities, such as in-service education, workshops, and action research, to stay current in best practices for math instruction. 

10. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment while maintaining good order and discipline in the classroom. 

11. Ensure the safety and well-being of students during instructional activities. 

12. Actively participate in staff meetings, curriculum planning sessions, and other school-related activities. 

13.Contribute to the overall organization and administration of the school. 

14. Ensure the safe use, maintenance, and storage of instructional materials and technology used during math lessons. 

15.Monitor student attendance, ensuring proper registration and reporting as necessary. 

16. Encourage engagement and motivation for math learning through varied and innovative instructional approaches. 

17. Incorporate technology and other educational tools effectively in lesson delivery, supporting differentiated learning needs. 

18. Stay current with tech trends in education and integrate appropriate resources into the curriculum. 

19. Help maintain a positive and disciplined school environment by contributing to the management of school activities and student behavior. 

20. Perform other duties as assigned. 

 

Qualifications: 

Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Valid Michigan teaching certification required, must be endorsed in Mathematics (EX). Experience: Minimum three years successful teaching experience required.
