Shifts Available:  weekdays- Mornings or evenings, and  Sundays

Job Summary:

Ezmed Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role offers both part-time and full-time opportunities, with flexible scheduling that includes morning, evening, and Sunday shifts. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of our urgent care facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for exams and treatments, including taking vital signs and medical histories.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
  • Perform routine diagnostic tests, such as EKGs and urinalysis.
  • Provide patient education and instructions for follow-up care.
• Clinical Support:
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked.
  • Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound care.
  • Collect and process laboratory specimens.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Administrative Duties:
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
  • Handle patient check-ins and check-outs.
  • Assist with billing and coding for insurance purposes.
  • Answer phone calls and provide information to patients and families.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare providers and staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution.
• Experience:
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in an urgent care or clinical setting is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
• Certifications:
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred.
• Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach.

Salary:

• Salary is based on experience and qualifications.
