Registered Nurse
Required Job Qualifications:
- Current and active RN license through the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
- CPR Certified.
- Must demonstrate the ability to perform necessary responsibilities of the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year long term care experience.
- Previous experience in providing effective work direction.
- Demonstrated ability in providing high quality clinical care in a Long Term Care setting.
Job Summary:
- To competently perform functions of a clinically astute Registered Nurse with strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to perform procedures as ordered. To effectively lead and coordinate the direct care staff on the assigned unit.
Essential Responsibilities and Functions:
- Assist residents in achieving and maintaining highest functional levels.
- Supervision of direct care staff and their abilities to provide care following the standards of practice.
- Delegate responsibilities/tasks to direct care staff as indicated.
- Proper and accurate administration of medications and treatments.
- Concise and accurate documentation related to resident care and medication/treatment administration.
- Implement and oversee best practices and guidelines, e.g. infection control for assigned units.
- Demonstrates effective and professional communication with residents, families, staff, physicians, supervisors, and other departments.
- Dependability in performing tasks, duties, and attendance.
