Mental Health Counselor
Job Purpose
To provide mental health therapeutic services and medication management for children, adolescents, and adults.
Job Summary
- Therapist shall be responsible for weekly reporting of patient/client counseling sessions and services in a timely manner.
- Therapist shall be responsible for weekly invoicing for payment and payroll.
- Therapist shall be responsible for maintaining the guidelines within the fee-for-service contract, which will be renewed each year.
Duties
The Therapist/Counselor:
- Must be familiar with and always comply with HIPPA rules and regulations.
- Must see the client on a timely basis as determined by the level of care, i.e., weekly, bi-weekly and if required more than one week.
- Must write a clinical note within 48 hours of meeting with the patient/client.
- Maintain accurate records of the meetings.
- Refer the patient/client for medication management via the company’s protocol.
- Confer with the psychiatry department for the continuity of care.
- Communicate issues in a timely manner with any concerns regarding the timely submission of paperwork and/or patient care.
- Attend any meetings required for clinical training and updates.
- When conducting telehealth, the therapist/counselor must always comply with HIPPA rules and regulations.
- Must comply with the company Handbook.
Qualifications
- Candidates must have a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Social Work and/or Marriage and Family Therapy. An intern license is acceptable with 1-3 years of experience.
- Candidates will pay for and pass a Level II background check.
- Candidates must have reliable transportation.
- Candidates must attend training for this position.
- Candidates must have their own laptop.
