Business Development Representative

Summary

We are seeking a Business Development Representative to join our team at Amorim Cork Solutions in Trevor, WI. This role is vital in driving our growth by identifying new business opportunities and fostering relationships with potential clients. Your contributions will help us continue our mission of sustainability and innovation in the cork industry.

Responsibilities

· Assist in managing the daily customer interactions, requirements, and needs when it comes to quoting, quote follow ups, PO issues, Accounts Receivable payment follow ups, etc.

· Be the bridge between Customer Service and the NAM Sealing Sales Manager for daily touchpoints and issue resolutions

·Plan, prepare, and schedule visits to assigned clients, and ensure information is provided to the NAM Sealing Sales Manager by preparing call reports & updating CRM

·Ensure compliance with the agreed annual sales plan and margin management within the limits set by the NAM Sealing Sales Manager & Global Sales Director

·Utilize social selling networks such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ChatGPT, etc. to forge new business, new contacts

·Ability to make “cold calls” when necessary to drum up business opportunities

·Hunt for new business opportunities through all available techniques: current clients, prospective clients, clients that have not bought for several years, social selling (LinkedIn Sales Navigator), referrals, etc.

·Work closely with internal ACS contacts including Customer Service, Operations, Finance, Production Planning, Shipping/Logistics dept, etc. as necessary in order to manage business opportunities. (Ex: Quoting assistance, Margin management, client management, unpaid invoice collections/follow ups, etc.)

·Respond to customer requests regarding product technical specifications, prices, availability, and sample shipments

·Coordinate as required to ensure a quick and effective response to customer needs

·Contribute to resolving customer issues (complaints, delivery problems, payment problems) in partnership with Customer Service, Production Planning, and Finance to ensure customer satisfaction

·Report relevant information about assigned customers/segments to the NAM Sealing Sales Manager - This includes market needs identified during sales visits, guiding the global segment strategy, and ensuring the alignment of ACS’s applications/products with market and customer needs

·Identify and develop joint solutions with customers or partner technical teams through meetings, ensuring technical product/application knowledge (with support from the Global Technical Team if needed). Translate customer needs into technical specifications to develop customized solutions for segment customer needs

·Coordinate with the team in Portugal for joint visits/travel, joint Webinar training sessions with clients, Marketing needs, etc.

·Provide feedback to monthly meetings, Rolling plan initiatives, strategic cycle initiatives, etc. based on the information you have gathered

·Travel requirements: approx. ~35% (may vary month to month based on other projects and needs of the business); some months may require heavier travel and some months less travel. Be open to travel as needed and be able to obtain a valid Passport for International Travel.

· This position requires the candidate to be in the office unless traveling. This is not a remote / hybrid position.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales/Management or equivalent

3 to 5 years in a similar Industrial sales type role (preferably from a Segment we currently work in such as Power Industry or Automotive)

Be open and willing to travel

Be able to obtain a valid Passport for International travel
