Secondary (6-12) Science Teacher - Kingdom Heights Preparatory School

Position Overview:

Kingdom Heights Preparatory School, a ministry of The Rock Family Worship Center, is seeking a passionate Science Teacher (Grades 6-12) to inspire students in the study of God's creation through science. The ideal candidate will integrate biblical principles into scientific exploration while fostering critical thinking, curiosity, and academic excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Education from an accredited university.
  • Certification: Valid teaching certification with appropriate subject area endorsement(s) and grade level.
  • Skills: Strong instructional abilities, classroom management, and commitment to faith-based education.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Faith-Based Instruction & Leadership

  • Integrate biblical principles into science instruction, emphasizing the wonder of God's creation.
  • Model Christ-like character in interactions with students, staff, and parents.
  • Actively participate in chapel services, devotionals, and school-wide faith initiatives.

✅ Engaging & Effective Teaching

  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the school's curriculum.
  • Teach various branches of science, including biology, chemistry, physics, and earth sciences, with clarity and enthusiasm.
  • Encourage hands-on learning through labs, experiments, and real-world applications.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies, including technology, inquiry-based learning, and collaborative projects.

✅ Student Support & Classroom Management

  • Create a structured, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Establish and uphold clear expectations for student behavior.
  • Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional methods accordingly.

✅ Communication & Collaboration

  • Maintain open, professional communication with parents, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Provide timely feedback on student progress and development.
  • Engage in professional development to continually improve teaching practices.

Additional Information:

  • Contract Term: 189 days
  • Salary: Based on education and experience.
