Job Description:

  • Make personal contact with organizations to identify opportunities to conduct information dissemination activities to include presentations and alternative activities; go to locations where members of the target population gather and collaborate with agencies in or near the locations; participate in health fairs; conduct diverse/cultural and linguistically appropriate activities with youth, parents, community members
  • Establish partnerships with community organizations to increase coalition support and membership.
  • Schedule and conduct presentations in support of environmental strategy/applicable laws/ prevalence rates to gain community buy-in, utilize the strategic plan and sustainability plan to ensure implementation of effective and efficient environmental evidence-based prevention strategies.
  • Establish MOUs with school and community sites who agree to serve on an epidemiological workgroup; gather quantitative and qualitative data to create a thorough needs assessment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology/Sociology or equivalent
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Current Texas driver’s license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance are required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34,000.00 per year
