Sales Support Specialist

Summary:

In the role of Sales Support Specialist, you will be integral to enhancing customer satisfaction and driving sales success. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will leverage your superior technical knowledge, customer service skills, sales and marketing to provide a great experience for every customer. Your organizational and communication skills will be put to great use by assisting with pricing, social media, and marketing efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enters information regarding sales transactions and order information into Syspro system.
  • Verifies all information related to orders is accurate; identifies and corrects discrepancies.
  • Completes all documentation in an accurate and efficient manner and processes information regarding cash balances, deliveries, sales orders, account balances in compliance with corporate guidelines.
  • Provides customer service support by answering phones, managing counter inquiries, processing payments, solving customer complaints/questions.
  • Completes and processes credit applications, payments and financing paperwork.
  • Verifies all paperwork for order processing is accurate.
  • Communicates with internal and external personnel in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintains accurate files and processes to maximize productivity.
  • Performs clerical support for store staff as needed.
  • Assists in keeping the showroom well presented, clean and orderly.
  • Maintains up to date knowledge on furniture vendors, pricing, and warranties.
  • Assists with marketing and sales initiatives which may include outreach phone calls, social media posting, photography/flyer design, and short video posting.
  • Ability to work a retail schedule including Saturday and Sundays.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills with co-workers and customers.
  • Comfortability with answering incoming and completing outgoing phone calls required.
  • Excellent grammar and spelling
  • Experience in social media/basic marketing initiatives.
  • Ability to complete paperwork in an accurate, neat and efficient manner
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to learn Syspro-inventory/order tracking system and Furniture Vendor sites.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and reach regularly.
  • Ability to use vision to read documents and computer screen.
  • Ability to use hands to type information into computer.
