Computer Network Specialist II

The main purpose of this position is to ensure the continuing operation of the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services Information Technology AIX systems, thereby maintaining and providing data, information and communication services to the DPSCS criminal justice agencies and the public. This is also a technical position that focuses on supporting and implementing AIX server solutions that are part of ITCD’s IT architecture plan as approved by the CIO. The primary responsibilities include ensuring outstanding customer service, maintaining accurate documentation, and providing resolution of technical issues and problems to ensure DPSCS systems are operational and available at all times. This is an essential position that may require 24 x 7 on-call availability.
