Junior Product Engineer

Alltech Automotive LLC., a dynamic global automotive supplier, is seeking a Product Engineer to support our Mundelein, IL location. It has global responsibility for business development, product and process development, manufacturing and sales on wheel end, brakes, suspension and steering applications, providing parts for Car and the Light Commercial Vehicle Industry. It is a global structure covering Sales all over the World as well as Manufacturing facilities Asia.

Responsibilities include:

• Engineering Support for technical information in efforts to obtain future business and satisfy customers’ questions.
• Special technical projects and presentations about new product availability
• Evaluate and test products, validate drawings.
• Responsible for acquiring, updating, and comparison of company product performance vs. competitive performance, and competitive landscaping (pricing, features, applications, and innovation)
• Conduct Original Equipment (OE) Research
• Assist Engineer on Product Design and Development
• Assist Lead Engineer to troubleshoot during verification and validation fallout
• Support operations through early post-launch turbulence to ensure successful start to production

 Key Competencies:

• Project Management and Application Engineering experience with proven understanding and use of key tools like DFMEA, Risk Analysis, APQP
• Customer relationship management experience in order to drive and influence customer’s technical choices.
• Good communication skills and ability to communicate with sales team/channel partners
• Manage and execute the introduction of new products thru the full product lifecycle
• Technical knowledge & experience in aftermarket brake related preferred. New Graduate is welcomed. We will train.
• Good communication skills and openness toward multi cultural team management.
• Ability to review and analyze dimensional data
• Microsoft computer application experience – including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Education:

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
