
Engineering Project Manager
Job Summary
Responsible for leading and coordinating an engineering project from concept through completion, ensuring that technical, financial, and timeline objectives are met. This position plays a key role in driving cross-functional collaboration and supporting strategic business goals through structured project execution.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This role does not include direct supervisory authority but requires strong leadership of cross-functional teams, including task delegation, coordination, and accountability tracking.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Define project goals, technical requirements and resource needs.
- Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, production, quality, supply chain, and external vendors.
- Conduct regular project status updates and adjust plans as needed to maintain progress.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, customer specifications, and internal quality requirements.
- Support new product introductions, process improvements, and design changes.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation including project plans, technical reports, and post-project reviews.
- Follow all safety and company policies and guidelines.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering discipline.
- 5 years of project management experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting preferred.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g. CREO, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP/PLM systems (e.g. Netsuite, SAP) is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
- Must be able to walk through production areas, occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, and wear PPE as required in factory environments.
